Accessing the Website and its Services

These terms and conditions apply to the BrightLocal (“we”, “us”, “our” or “BrightLocal”) Website. Registered Users

When registering for Website services, licences are solely assigned to registered users, any sub-licencing is prohibited. BrightLocal reserves the right to terminate all access upon termination of licencing agreements or where any licensee violates terms of use. 

Website Blog

Blog users are granted a perpetual royalty-free non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, translate, transmit and distribute content. Users are able to reproduce Blog content in any format or medium, provided content is accurate, the source is acknowledged, content contains BrightLocal’s copyright and content is not used in a misleading or any other manner that may bring BrightLocal or other Blog contributors into dispute. Users must also provide an active, clickable, ‘do follow’ hyperlink to the BrightLocal.com Website. BrightLocal accepts no responsibility whatsoever on Blog content, contributions and all third-party references.


Website content is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. In no event shall BrightLocal be liable for any loss, damages, costs or other expenses of any kind (including, but not limited to direct, indirect, consequential or special loss or any other loss of profit) arising out of or in connection when using the BrightLocal Website. In addition, BrightLocal disclaims all warranties, both express and implied, relating to Website content and features.
Nothing in this Website shall form the basis of or be relied upon in connection with any contract or any other commitment with BrightLocal whatsoever, except as specifically agreed when purchasing BrightLocal services.

No warranty is given that the Website is free from computer-based malware or any other functionality that may have contaminating or destructive properties. Furthermore BrightLocal accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage caused by malware originating from its Website. BrightLocal also accepts no liability whatsoever where the Website has been compromised and libellous, offensive or inappropriate content has been placed on the BrightLocal Website. 

Neither BrightLocal or any service providers limit liability for fraud, death or personal injury resulting from negligence when accessing the Website and its services. Nothing in this disclaimer shall exclude or restrict any duty or liability that cannot be excluded by law or regulation.

The BrightLocal Website is not directed to nor intended for use in any region / country where such distribution and use is prohibited. Products and services referred to on this Website will only be offered publicly in those jurisdictions where it is lawful to do so and the BrightLocal Website is only intended for use in such jurisdictions. 

Prohibited Use

The unauthorised use of any tools and techniques to identify or exploit any security related vulnerabilities and Website configuration errors is strictly prohibited, such activities shall be reported to local law enforcement agencies.
